Terms of Service
Last updated 28 September 2026.
By using ProblemSolved, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What this site is
ProblemSolved is an independent platform for publishing and tracking consumer disputes against South African companies. We are not a regulator, ombud, or dispute resolution body, and using this site does not replace referring an unresolved matter to the National Consumer Commission or the relevant industry ombud.
User-generated content
Dispute reports, descriptions, and status updates are written by the individual consumer or company representative who submits them, and reflect that person's own account of events. We do not independently verify the factual accuracy of any report before it is published. When submitting a report, a consumer must confirm they believe it to be factually accurate; that declaration is theirs, not ours, and doesn't make us the author or verifier of their content.
You agree to indemnify ProblemSolved against any claim, loss, or damage arising from content you submit, including claims that it is false, defamatory, or infringes someone else's rights.
If you believe a report about you is false or defamatory
If you're a company (or an individual) named in a report you believe is factually inaccurate, misleading, or defamatory, email legal@problemsolved.org.za with:
- The case's tracking number (e.g. PS-000000).
- Which specific statement you dispute, and why.
- Any evidence supporting your position.
We'll review the report, may ask the reporter to substantiate or clarify their account, and may add a note, correct, or remove content we determine to be inaccurate. We aim to respond within a reasonable time given the size of this service. Registering as a company and responding to a case through the platform is usually the fastest way to give your side of the story on the public record.
Company accounts
A company representative may sign in using a work email matching that company's domain, and may then respond to and update the status of disputes filed against that company. Misrepresenting your affiliation with a company to gain this access is a breach of these terms.
Prohibited use
- Submitting a report you know to be false.
- Impersonating another person or company.
- Attempting to circumvent the site's security or access controls.
- Using the site to harass, threaten, or unlawfully target anyone.
We may remove content or restrict access for any of the above.
No warranty; limitation of liability
The site is provided "as is". We don't guarantee that any dispute will be resolved, that reported information is accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ProblemSolved is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on content published on it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. See also our Privacy Policy.
